Competitions
Twice a year our site requests information via competitions. Participation in these competitions is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes.
Submissions
In order to participate in a competition, a user must first complete the submission form. During submission a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the competitions on our site in which you have expressed interest.
Sharing
If you choose to enter a competition at https://hopperprize.org, we may share the aggregated information you provide to us with our partners. This includes the information contained in your submission to us.
We partner with third parties (e.g. leading art industry professionals and institutional curators) to review the information you submit to us for the purpose of selecting grant winners, finalists, and Instagram features.
When you fill out and submit the application form, we will share that information with our partners to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.
When you win a prize or are selected for a shortlist, we will publish your submission to hopperprize.org to make your work, artist statement, biography, personal website address, and social media handles available to our audience.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
If you choose to enter a competition and pay a submission fee online at hopperprize.org using a Credit or Debit Card, your card details are encrypted and securely store by Stripe.
Your card details are not stored by us and cannot be accessed or used by our staff.
The Hopper Prize may use Cookies on hopperprize.org. Cookies are very small files which a website uses to identify you when you come back to the site and to store details about your use of the site. Cookies are not malicious programs that access or damage your computer. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but you can choose to reject cookies by changing your browser settings.
