Tillman received her MFA from School of Visual Arts and a BFA from James Madison University, with studies at the University of Wolverhampton, UK. She has had solo exhibitions at Asya Geisberg Gallery in NYC, The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, VA, and Civilian Art Projects, Washington, DC, among others. Her work has been in group exhibitions including Hilde, LA; JONALDDUDD, NY; Regina Rex, NY; Present Company, NY; Real Tinsel, WI; Cydonia Gallery, TX; Emerson Dorsch, FL; TSAPhilly, PA and Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, RJ, India. She is a recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation 2009 MFA Grant, a 2015 Fountainhead Residency in Miami, FL, the Jaipur Kala Chaupal 2017 Residency in Jaipur, India, and the VisArts + Quirk Gallery Residency in 2018. Her work has been reviewed in ARTFORUM, ArtFCity, Sculpture Magazine, Artsy Magazine, Art Observed, The Observer, and The New Indian Express. Tillman is also an educator and has been a professor and lecturer at Monmouth University, George Washington University, Rutgers University and the University of Maryland. She has been on panel discussions through the Alliance of Artists Communities, ArtTable, Moore College of Art and Design, Buffalo State College, and was a juror for the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2017.
