Artist Statement

In my sewn fabric collages, I explore form and composition as well as the material itself in its relation to feminine identity. The current compositions focus on a pared down vocabulary of the decorative in domestic interiors; windows and frames as well as vessels and vases. I am interested in how we frame and contextualize identity, including female identity in the art world.
