Marina Weiner

I make ceramic sculptures that allude to tools and devices by incorporating and hyperbolizing notches, hooks, and latches. The resulting objects resemble inscrutable tools hanging on a garage wall, suggesting possibilities for use and relationships to the human body. Like Rorschach tests that use inkblots to reveal a user’s subjectivity, these Rorschach Objects are both representational and abstract, encouraging interpretation and projection from the viewer.
