Artist Statement

I am interested in exploring art expression ways that allow me to collaborate with the various skills of painting I work with. I try to take advantage of the properties of different materials and techniques to maximize the expressiveness of the oil painting. I have emphasized the "calligraphic" nature of painting just like Chinese traditional painter Bada Shanren did. I have found a proper balance between "Expressionism" and the vital nature of the object to establish my own artistic style.
I stand that contemporary art is not only about aesthetics, but more importantly about the artist responding to the problems of his times. We are living in an age of global crisis, environmental, economic, medical, political, social crisis proportions, and pandemic times. My art is the shout and cry of my soul in this special time.
