Artist Statement
My work exists between what is seen and what is sensed, between material presence and suggestion. I explore how form can imply meaning without resolving it, and how gesture can suggest presence without fixed identity. Rather than depict, I distill.
My recent paintings move away from narrative toward a more open, abstract language. Figures appear intermittently, fragmenting or dissolving within the composition.
I am drawn to ambiguity as a space of potential, where meaning remains fluid and shaped by the viewer’s perception. Painting becomes a process of questioning, each work an open structure that invites sustained looking rather than a fixed conclusion.
