Artist Statement
Drawing inspiriation from all aspects of my existence, my work is a reflection of feelings. The subjects and content of the work may change, but feelings about my past, my present, and my future, are always at the heart of each work. Memories and questions distill those feelings down into imagery - how does it feel when you are an outsider looking in? Will we still be here in the future or will the planet melt us all? Can a simple memory of a tree outside a bright window remind you of a past life?
The world is a no doubt a beautiful place, but it is also unsettling and strange. Each drawing, whether it feels eerie, melancholic, or serene, is an acknowledgement and reminder that those feelings exist and that they can exist together.
